| With 30 plus years experience, Kirby is respected throughout the industry as a premiere film and video professional. Markee Magazine named him Top Director in the Southeast.His work has included high-end 35mm commercials and full-length programs to dramatic presentations, marketing and training videos. Diversity is the norm for Kirby’s work from Haverty’s Furniture commercials, resort videos for Amelia Island and The Ponte Vedra Club, to healthcare programs for The Mayo Clinic.Kirby truly demonstrates an eye for the visual medium, communicating the message clearly and directly. Kirby is highly regarded for carefully scored on-screen direction, anticipating the action, and minute attention to lighting detail. As well, he continues his excellence in still photography.Kirby received a dual degree from Florida State University: a B.A. in Television Production and a B.A. in History with a minor in Film Production and Photography.
While at Florida Production Center, he served as a producer, director and cameraman. Kirby also worked in the broadcast arena at WJXT-TV in Jacksonville as a producer/director and WPHL-TV in Philadelphia as a producer/writer. Kirby’s work has received international accolades, recognized by Emmy, Cine Golden Eagle, Addy, Crystal Reel, Mobius, Monitor, Angel Awards, and the U.S. International Film & Video Festival. |
